EMBRACE THE FASHION COLORS FOR FALL
Did you know that all the colors and designs that you see in the stores are determined by a council called THE COLOR ASSOCIATION OF THE UNITED STATES?
Because industry exploded right after the Industrial Revolution, the textile trade found the need to better predict and set upcoming color and style trends. They did this so that manufacturers were able to produce large quantities of textiles. CAUS now works with basically five categories: women's fashion, menswear, youth fashion, interiors and beauty. This organization directly influence the shades and colors that define each season. They are responsible not only for the colors of the season in fashion but for the hues found at the home goods stores, furniture, paint, carpet, countertops and even makeup.
Every year the "Color Czars" a panel of eight to twelve people do their own research on what colors they feel will, should, dominate the next few year for fashion, and decor, They come together to debate the merits of each members research. In the end they choose 44 colors that will make it to the palette. The colors you see today, were decided two to five years ago, sometimes more.
They pinpoint the trends that designers, manufacturers and buyers will be working with. They are responsible for developing a tangible sensory experience that reflects the colors of our ever changing culture. They want to capture a feeling of zeitgeist of what's happening in our society.
So when you go shopping and decide to "embrace the colors of Fall", just know that experts have been working diligently for years to bring you the best color palette and style to your fashion wardrobe.
